Facebook Acquires CRM Start-up, Kustomer

Facebook have agreed to acquire CRM start-up, Kustomer. This has been Facebook’s biggest step to date to expand their services for businesses as they aim to improve customer service on their platform.

Terms of the acquisition have not officially been disclosed but according to The Wall Street Journal, the deal has been agreed at $1 billion. 

“With our complementary capabilities, we will be able to help more people benefit from customer service that is faster, richer and available whenever and however they need it.” - Brad Birnbaum, CEO and Co-founder of Kustomer.

Zephr Raises $8 Million in Their Latest Series A Round

Next up, Zephr raises $8 million in their latest Series A round led by BDMI. This latest round of funding takes the total raised so far to $11 million.

The funding is said to be used to invest in product development with the focus on delivering technology that brings hyper-personalised digital journeys. Zephr also plan to use the new cash injection to further expand in the US, Europe and Asia.

James Henderson, Zephr CEO said; “We want to create a world where every subscription product is tailored to each individual customer; where everyone gets exactly what they want, at the right price, at the right time. It’s this laser-focus on the personal journey that sets us apart from anyone else – and is what has enabled our clients to gain customers for life.

Bizzabo Raises $138 Million in Their Latest Series E Round

The  latest Series E funding round was led by Insight Partners, as well as previous backers Viola Growth, who led Bizzabo’s previous round, a $27 million Series D. To date, Bizzabo has raised a grand total of $195 million.

With a probable hybrid future for events on the horizon, Bizzabo plan to tackle the unknown with their event platform which enables the ability to plan and run both virtual and in-person conferences. 

“Bizzabo will use its investment to build a comprehensive technology that successfully integrates the experiences of virtual and in-person — for both organizers and attendees. We will also expand our go-to-market operations and triple our engineering, product, and experience teams with the opening of two new offices in Europe in the first half of 2021."  Said Eran Ben-Shusan, Co-Founder & CEO at Bizzabo.

Sprinklr Announces its Integration With Q&A Platform, Quora

Insights from Quora can be combined with data from all of Sprinklr’s listening sources – 36 social media and messaging channels plus millions of blogs, forums, review sites, and news sources – creating a unified customer experience management strategy in one Sprinklr platform. 

Sprinklr Modern Research users will now be able to pull in real time and historical data on Quora content (questions, answers, comments) and engagement stats (viewership, share count, comment count, upvote score).

“Our partnership with Quora helps brands understand customer concerns and get in front of customers at a critical stage in the buying cycle,” said Pavitar Singh, Chief Technology Officer, Sprinklr.
