This week in MarTech: Citrix acquires Wrike, Omnipresent raises $15.8 million, Tealium and Agillic announce a new integration connector, and RichRelevance and Manthan Software merge to form a new solution, Algonomy.

Citrix Agrees to Acquire Wrike for $2.25 Billion

Let’s jump into our first story of the week. Citrix has announced an agreement to acquire Wrike for $2.25 billion.

The deal will bring together Citrix’s powerful digital work platform, which securely delivers the resources an employee needs to be productive in one unified experience, and Wrike’s work management solution, which streamlines collaboration and work execution, providing employees with additional tools to work efficiently and securely wherever they may be. 

Omnipresent Raises $15.8 Million

Up next, more news for the digital working space. Omnipresent, a solution to help companies employ remote working teams has closed a $15.8 million Series A funding round.

The fundraise was led by an undisclosed investor with participation from existing investors, Episode 1, Playfair Capital and Truesight Ventures.

We’re continuing to see more cash being injected into remote working solutions over the course of the pandemic and we expect that this will only continue throughout 2021.

Tealium and Agillic Announce New Integration Connector

Our next story is a new integration partnership formed between CDP player, Tealium and omnichannel marketing solution, Agillic.

Tealium’s CDP collects and manages data extensively and has now added comprehensive omnichannel execution for Agillic customers.

With the connector, clients using Tealium and Agillic can more easily create and execute highly personalised communication based on data from many disparate sources.

RichRelevance and Manthan Software Merge to Form Algonomy

And finally, more moves in the CDP space. RichRelevance and Manthan Software merge to form a new martech solution – Algonomy, which allows companies to rapidly unify all customer data in a single platform for real-time AI-based decisioning. The new solution is specifically designed for the retail sector.

As we know, CDPs are a rapidly expanding category in martech, it’ll be interesting to see what other M&A deals form to fulfil the demand for this category as the year goes on...
