MessageBird Acquires Email Data Platform SparkPost and Closes a $1B Round.

MessageBird, a cloud communications platform, has paid $600M to acquire SparkPost, an email delivery, optimisation, and analytics platform. The Netherlands-based company has also announced it has extended it series C round from the $200M it reported in October, to a nicely rounded $1 Billion. 

Digital Asset Platform Finoa Raises $22M in Series A funding.

Finoa, a DAP for institutional investors, has closed a $22M Series A funding rounds. The firm plans to double down on regulation, earmarking some of its funding for building out its compliance function.

Video Platform Mux Lands $105M in a Series D round.

Mux, a video platform for developers, has raised $105M in series D funding led by Coatue, and existing investors Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, and Colbalt, with new participation from Dragoneer. This investment brings the companies total funding to $175M, and raises its valuation to over $1Billion. 

ON24 Expands Platform Capabilities With the Launch of Breakout Rooms.

ON24 Breakouts, an engagement and collaboration functionality, have been introduced by ON24 to enable 1-2-1 and group engagement in branded digital events. The new function aims to help marketing and sales teams accelerate the customer journey. 

Adobe Announces the Next Generation of its Real-Time Customer Data Platform for First-Party Data-Driven Marketing.

Adobe has announced the next generation of it's Real-time Customer Data Platform. The CDP helps brands activate known and unknown customer data to manage customer profile and journey in one system, without the need for third-party cookies.

And finally, Sony and Discord have Announced a Partnership that will Integrate the Chat App with PlayStation’s Built-In Social Tools.

Sony and Discord have revealed plans for a partnership to combine the chat app with PlayStations existing infrastructure. This suggests a major product chance, possibly coinciding with a platform update on Sony's PS5 roadmap.
